Kvällstoppen – Best Selling Records in Sweden

This chart shows kvällstoppen with the 20 best selling records in Sweden 1965-05-25.

Kvällstoppen was presented in a radio show by Sveriges Radio – Sweden’s national publicly funded radio broadcaster. The show started in 1962 and the format changed several times during the sixties and early seventies. The charts originally recorded sales of singles and EPs. Later, LP albums were also included. For a short period, a separate list with only LP albums was presented, known as LP-toppen. But LPs could still appear on the original list with singles and EPs, which is why LP-toppen was abandoned.

In 1974, the program and the idea of presenting music sales in a national publicly funded radio was questioned on ideological grounds. As a result, entries were presented in a random order. A year later, in late summer of 1975, the show was finally cancelled. The last program was aired on August 19, 1975.
